“Medusa Portrait” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso. A portrait of a young Medusa who looks peacefully towards the viewer, her hair is flowing mass of thick iridescent dark indigo snakes tied up in a head wrap. “Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. A portrait painting of a girl with skin so pale she’s almost translucent, her lips are tinged blue and she gazes upward through seemingly unseeing eyes. Pale moths and winged insects cover the expanse of her face and body, blending into her skin in places.

This is an incredibly well preserved Roman shoe for a woman. It’s around 2,000 years old and was found, and is currently displayed, in a Roman fort known now as The Saalburg in 🇩🇪. The intricate decoration and design is fantastic.

Round piece of unpainted leather with an embossed decoration in the center: a griffin, lion legs and tail, eagle wings opened toward the back and part of the front paws, but the claws are faucet handles and it has a tap head Piece of an unpainted leather shaped as a cost of arms, in the center a phoenix carved, with the wings and a big tail with three enormous feathers. Also, each small feather in the wings and the body is undercut and lifted from the base. I feel I didn't make much this year. There are reasons but doesn't make me feel better. At least I learned some things. I reconnected with my NEED to create. I learned there are lot of things I can do. To take distance to appreciate what I want. And to give me time, value and credit #artvsartist2023

First try at the old dark iron simulation. I bought a gunmetal pigment painting for leather at an arts&crafts store YEARS ago and never tested it. Actually I have to dilute it yet and it's more silvery than I though, BUT I can manage, I think, and it seems good enough for this

A black leather wandholster bracer with a white rod simulating the wand. It consists in a simple wand sheath in vertical and two straps sticking out on each side. There are silver filigrees decorating the leather on the intersection of the base of each strap and the central sheath, and another one of a serpent at the bottom of the sheath. The bracer is resting on grass Three pics of the wandholster bracer on an arm. The first is a pic from the side of the bracer and the second is front, both in position of the wand resting at the posterior side of the forearm. Third pic is also a front pic of the bracer, but three wand sheath is resting on the anterior side of the forearm Frontal pic of the bracer extended on a table.
