A dire trend in the US Left is how rage over savage incompetence of Trump so often slides to fanboyism of any of his adversaries even if it is a group as tyrannically vicious as Houthis.

You don't exactly need the genius of Moltke or discipline of Janissaries to defeat Hegseth, MBS and Tareq Saleh

This report by CNN is a true bombshell - a first explicit confirmation that Ukrainian operatives are in Mali, embedded within the FLA militants in the North, performing an advisor role. 15 Ukrainians are supposed to be hosted by the Tuaregs.

CNN in their new reporting heavily suggest that Saudis have dreadfully underestimated what's coming and, indeed, the airforce was nowhere to be seen on key coast frontlines.

If the Saudi Crown Prince wasn't already having high pressure, after what Trump said a few minutes ago, he is about to have one of the biggest crises he ever dealt with. Riyadh will be burning with anxiety like inferno tonight.

For recent two years, the pro-Bazoum (toppled in 2023 president) movements were nothing of note and lacking in power, money and legitimacy. However, ever since the Haftar clan released its chief in Libya, FPL is clearly on the rise in northern Niger. And has money.

So the bombings that struck the Saudi pipeline (and will cause enormous backlash) were from Iraq. Well, it's actually quite an open case on who exactly may be responsible-recent drones from Iraq were not only operated by Iraqi allies of Iran but...Houthi operatives based there.

Who wants to take a bet, that after refusing MBS twice yesterday, this weekend we will witness something American in action? Since CENTCOM actually still has capable generals, who will slowly but surely make Trump understand. And the situation is dire enough.

According to Axios, bin Salman called Trump twice yesterday, asking for airstrikes but was refused help aside from CENTCOM forces advising Saudi operators (CNN's news from last night).
Axios as we know has completely destroyed its reputation this year, but I can believe this one.
Eyes at the Saudi Crown Prince. Phone calls tonight will be unprecented in importance. No way it will be left alone.
