Our old North Berkeley BART 52 line bench goes out of service after 2.5 years of service. In its place, a pretty new bench with a BART mural by local artist Sally Carson (sallycarson.com)
This bus bench was so fun to paint! I hope folks enjoy all the little details while they wait for the bus.

I think about this illustration by Swedish artist Karl Jilg all the time. This is how navigating an American city on foot usually feels. “Road is lava” seems to be our street planning strategy.

So joyful and fun! And so cool to see the city bus drivers honking in support of bike lanes! Imagine trying to navigate a bus around cyclists that are pinned between the bus and car doors swinging open. Maybe bus drivers want separated bike lanes too?! Let’s go! 👏👏👏 #BikeSafeBerkeley
