One thing I find endlessly funny about the rise of AI is that it has revealed that there is a large number of people who believe that the reason they wrote essays at school or university is their teachers were desperately waiting for them to provide a definite answer to “Lear: what’s up with him?”
"By using AI, tasks like essays that used to take hours can be completed in minutes!"

Sure, like how if I arrive at the gym and immediately go for a shower, my workout is done in record time. And if I throw my sandwiches straight in the bin, I can finish my lunch in under 10 seconds.

“AI poses a threat. It will steal my writing, loot my reportage, rob my intellectual property and embezzle books which took years to write and research. But it will never know what it was like to be there. It will always be faking it.”

Palantir have just signed a new £21m contract – this time with Britain’s grid operator.

Who were the other bidders? Well, there weren’t any. The National Energy System Operator said it was too dependent on Palantir already to invite anyone else 🙄

Oh dear Lord. We need to be better than this 🙄
Looking at posts on X is not “comprehensive public monitoring” and a rise from 7 to 12 in a month is hardly an alarming trend…

The BBC has now had to revise this headline 3 times to try and get something approaching impartiality

I am incredulous as to what is going on there
This is an inappropriate, credulous & politically biased BBC headline. The claims about savings will be sharply contested. News reports should not imclude what reads as an ediorial endorsememt in the headline

BBC’s coverage of Reform’s welfare plans is frankly bizarre. Headlines in Ten, leading on some radio networks. Reform are not even the official opposition and the plans have less credibility than Count Binface. Will BBC News do the same for Lib Dem and Greens policy two years out from an election?
