310"26 #Verity the 3 of them do their thing & obviously they're good at it. It's basically what you expect to happen with these plots & this genre. Wish there was some M Night level twists. Tho I guess it's restricted since it's a book adaptation. Surprised they got this cast tbh

#Lioness S3 really dug how this season unfolded & just more back room dealings & quick action. Though the journey is more interesting than the reveal, I'm still hyped for S4. This was a good transition from S1&2. Shifting focus of the team to other parts of the ensemble was solid

309"26 #TheScavenger Qin Peng Fei codirects w/ Qi Jian Yong. Horrid eng & cringe acting altogether, Liu Feng Chao fights through thug waves to rescue his sister & punish bad guys. The Qin fights still delivers with some new fresh movements. Give him more money & better writing.

306"26 #ResidentEvil IMAX fun time all around. Tho could do with less jokes. Love the monster variety. The videogameness was a nice touch. The ammo/locks stuff was decent enough. Does a lot in 95 for plot & character study. Glad the lore is not strict to RE2 only. Dug the ending

305"26 #KillingfortheProsecution rewatch. So many things are happening & many layers. Plot wise it's interesting but the character motivation is a tad bit weaker when it comes to what Kimura does in this movie. Ninomaya shout session is a vibe & Matsushige is always a good time.

303"26 #Hope Rd4. Everything still hits. The shit story even more endearing/hilarious this time 😂. The cg textures are often jarring at first but it's acceptable since the movement is topnotch work. Zo In Sung just delivers with his silent & stoic & delivers hitting trees hurts.

301"26 #OneLastLoveLetter 1st VJFF, glad I can make 2 movies. Exceptional screen presence from this ensemble. The weaving of the all these stories & literally driving a train disaster through it all hits harder. Just an emotional train ride throughout of the ups & downs of life.

299"26 #Hope Rd3 4dx. Stupid smile on my face the whole time during the Hoyeon drifts. Sometimes the alien running got a bit too much. My fav part is the Korean cultural stuff: snacking, drinking, hitting people, & old folks 😂. Still shocked at the amount of horseback there is.

298"26 #KuboandtheTwoStrings haven't seen in a long while. Glad to see on the big screen. Really gotta look into a jp dub cause the A lost celebs voice are actually distracting. My fav Laika but still wish it dove deeper into the JP culture. Empty vastlands for quest plots irks.

297"26 #Hope Rd2. Another full screening but not with mostly Koreans 😂. As hated the plot is, it's actually like so layered & big swing & really does change things if we do get a realized sequel. Still confused on the types of baddies but everything is still great. Hoyeon MVP🔥

296"26 #TheSamuraiandthePrisoner 147 mins & packed full with an ensemble & plot like a full series jdrama. Love how in 2026, we finally get Kurosawa's first jidaigeki. The craft is topnotch & the juggling of the ensemble does give him time to unpack samurai spirit & past horrors.

295"26 #ElegantBeast a wild time. Everyone sucks here & thinks only for themselves. Wanting to see how they crash burn was engaging. The set production was also great in terms of how their apartment & even the staircase is used to expose further their personalities & the plot

292"26 #Onslaught need more Adria Arjona in my life. An overall fun bloody time. Wish there was a lot more of everything. DS & RH as weirdass human garbage is 🤮. EWareheim & Reginald VelJohnson (esp his shotgun scene) was great. Blake Kennedy was a good foil against the violence

291"26 #TheBoxer 1977. Such melancholy. The match scenes are so stripdown cinematically that it just feels like an actual match. Definitely could've been melodramatic but it keep itself barebones. Sugawara Bunta brings the vibes & Shimizu Kentaro brings the fight & stunting.

290"26 #Akira 1st rewatch after reading the manga. The animation of this era in terms of technicalities & precision is just unmatched. That one tracking shot where the side of the building comes into details is just wild. I want more, time to reread. TETSUO! So much yelling 💯.

289"26 #Girl what a flex of a directorial debut from Shu Qi that includes writing & also having substantial child actors screentimes. Solid direction for the child actors through both dialogue & expressions. 9m88 (what a name) does a great job balancing between two extremes.

287"26 #NextSohee immaculate direction from July Jung. This ensemble delivers this microcosm of when systems trap people & they become monsters when they can justify their cruelty. Probably the two most satisfying punches I've seen in a movie in a long while. Bleak & hopeless.

286"26 #LastBlossom damn, felt like a liveaction JP movie with its pacing, tones, & "acting". Solid script. Borderlines mundane & nothing really happens adult world that I want more in anime. Need this on a disc so I can stew & rewatch. Dug the animation & colors. Want more!

285"26 #Colony ensemble was miscast & weak acting direction. Koo Kyun Hwan acts circles around everyone & clearly was having fun. Chae Seo Eun MVP cause I wanted her to die so bad. Jun Ji Hyun didn't cut it for me. Plot-wise, it was neat & props for stunt, set design & costumes.
