There has been a noticeable lack of serious reaction over Turkish persecution of LGBTQIA+ community from the global community. As in many other countries, Türkiye tries to mask persecution by claiming being LGBTQIA+ isn't illegal and then using "obscenity laws".

legitimately this is about as good as you can get at explaining why "ir realism" is the fakest doctrine in history, and also wwii

I would agree that if the usa competly rewrote its constitution to make an new trump impossible to happen legally then international relations are not Forever.
International relations is never permanent. Look at US-Germany and US-Japan. People get over it, new threats arise, interests realign. Over time, alliances can be rebuilt.
But it’s not snapping back, even if Dems get full control of govt. Smart NatSec strategy says countries will need to hedge.
