Monarchs born late summer (migratory Monarchs) can live up to 6 to 9 months due to their migratory nature. Spotted this one recently … could be one yet brown near wing base🤔

If you enjoy wine and aren’t familiar with Randall Graham, read this. Especially like his discussion of terroir, aka wine of place.

If looking for a late summer read, this is fantastic. The political acumen of this twentieth century woman and some over arching parallels to what’s happening politically in the US today. Great book!
Going to be a fantastic read! The Last Empress of France by Evelyne Resnick & Petie Kladstrup (author of Wine & War). Eugenie de Montijo created haute couture, fought for women’s rights, opened France’s schools to girls and ruled the country as its last empress. #nonfiction

Still making stunning wine and still a w😮w story!
My acquaintance Namratha’s (Nam) book is next on my read list. I know it’s an incredible story of bravery -escaping an abusive marriage and starting over. She makes stunning wine now in Bordeaux! #Booksky #Winesky #biography

Well done Andrew and Obalo👏🏻
We picked up 2nd prize for our #Rosé in a local comp. Would have preferred 1st, obviously, but we'll take it.

A (pacific) Madrone doing its peeling thing. The green will eventually become the red bark, the process repeats annually. Fascinating really!
