Shooting up to 104 degrees today. Even with AC in the building, I expect to be a puddle of migraine and misery. I put up a blanket over one of the windows, but don't know how much it'll help. Tomorrow is looking better. We'll see what I'm able to manage then.

Taking a break today to let my arm rest after the chaos of yesterday. Apparently I was also bitten on my hand by a chigger at some point recently. I had to take my wrist brace off, because it was rubbing against the itchy bite :( but at least I found some calamine lotion that seems to be helping.

Thought I would feel better if I visited with a sort-of-friend and had coffee. I did, at first. Then I found out that she had just put flea meds on her dog...where do they go? Me. 🙃 so now I have to hope I didn't bring any home with me, and I have to hope the oils in the flea meds didn't get on me.

I just found out that a neighbor's daughter passed away from heart failure because they went out in the heat on Monday. - This kind of heat is no joke. Do not force yourself to do things. Do not push yourself when your body tells you no, thinking you can risk it :( take care of yourself everyone.

Just woke up to a brown recluse within a couple feet of the bed on one side, and a mosquito on the other. Recluse is in a jar now, mosquito is dead. Spider will be tossed outside later. So glad these things are nearly blind. It makes them easy to catch.

It's 33C (91) here in Oklahoma, and I live in a metal building >>' kinda amazed I haven't keeled over yet today. Might become nocturnal for the summer again ._.

After two days of migraines, I managed to get into my storage and found the old wood wands I mentioned the other day, and a bunch of raw materials. I also found my dremel. Now I just need to locate the bits and set up my workspace....possibly tonight, we'll see.

A dragon, a raven, some weird abstract flower design. A few ideas that have been kicking around in my head. I didn't feel like trying to draw the other one; something with crossed halberds and ivy. Maybe some other time though. This at least gets me some design ideas for when I'm carving again.

It's apparently shark week, so I haven't gone into the house today to set up a carving station. Maybe tomorrow.
In the meantime, I sketched out a design for a comb I've had kicking around in my head for a few days.
