this is not to say I don't enjoy a good documentary, national geographic episode, or video lecture by a subject matter expert, but I do not want to hear your voice, see your face, or wait for your stupid digressions. I want to read the recipe or the review & move on.

this is my biggest pet peeve with the way the Internet has evolved. under no circumstances do I want to watch a video about your product, opinion, or recipe. I read like 3x faster than you can talk. video is such an inefficient form of learning & the switch to video primacy annoys me so much
There were endless car and video game magazines and websites when I was in high school, but the pivot to video just destroyed both industries
