tbh reading most of the popular queer scifi series recently published by T*r and *rbit is an exercise in disappointment. I'm glad they're getting published, I just wish they were... better. so many times I check one out and find myself thinking "god I wish I were rereading The Locked Tomb instead"

rewatching IWTV s2 clips, and Louis and Armand really were the most beautiful couple in the world. unsustainable for many reasons, and I prefer other ships for both of them, but no one is ever beating them in sheer hotness

I think complaining that the dialogue in the Half Man hospital scene is overwrought is kinda like grumbling that the "you said I killed you - haunt me, then!" speech in Wuthering Heights is too melodramatic. it IS florid and indulgent and overheated but... that's the point. idk. try to enjoy it
