Nevada Republican politician Michele Fiore, nicknamed “Lady Trump,” collected money for a memorial to 2 fallen police officers but spent it on plastic surgery, rent and her daughter’s wedding. A jury convicted her of fraud. Trump pardoned her because he’s pro-criminal.
Vote against all Republicans.

This is a great model in the War on White Collar Crime.

It recognizes that:

- info about law breaking is distributed among its victims,

- gathering, checking, & bringing evidence forward is socially valuable, &

- makes $ flow to individuals & orgs doing that valuable work effectively.
Often, corporate practices that steal time and money from workers and consumers are designed to push the limit of prohibited practices. We will equip New Yorkers with new tools to take on predatory companies, bad landlords, scammers, and other actors who exploit them.
