Sci fi stuff, I'm on a mission to read science fiction books by an author born in every country in the world. It's a sfun project but probably impossible
Finally listening to The Haidmaids Tale. Saw the first series when it came out but never continued it past that. So it's good to going back to the book (audio).
May change my Name to Of-Ness as she in charge of me

There are signed hardback first editions and there there is The Final Inoculation signed and doodled by @cmkosemen.bsky.social . After a quick flick through. This is a stunning vibrant gorgeous book. Although 'book' doesn't give this piece of art justice!

Weekend away to the coast with the family. Popped into a random steampunk event and met W.E.B Fox and bought copies of his science fiction trilogy. Nothing for my around the world project, but you gotta support the indie authors!

BULGARIAN science fiction... Sounds weird... And a bit dark, and possibly dystopian.
Bulgarian dystopia... Sounds like a radio 6 band

This arrived today. Margret Helgadottir, born in Ethiopia, to an Icelandic father and Norwegian mother. Luckily writes in English! This will be my Ethiopian book for my project.

Straight back to work after the holidays, but it does mean I can get back to audio books and return to The Old Drift by Namwali Serpell. This will tick off Zambia from my world science fiction list. No science fiction so far, but I think that comes later in the book...

Feels appropriate to be reading the final few chapters on the ferry. Although it's the English channel and not the North sea, as per the book. Tagging @northodoxpress.bsky.social as I can't find the author on bluesky

Loving Special Delivery by @rexburke.bsky.social , does help when you're sat on a French beach, reading chapters between dips in the Atlantic

Hiding in the shade, during the latest french heat wave with a glass of rosé, with a dystopian India SciFi book. Life is good!

Picked up a great sounding book from an author from Oman whilst on a nice mini break with the other half and a mate to Lincoln. Found a great book store called Lark books, with a small well collated sci-fi section. And amazing cheese and marmite swirls!

Finally seen Project Hail Mary at the cinema!! So good! A little more comedic than the book. But that isn't a bad thing. It's a solid 9/10. Only lost a point as the 'injection scene' was too comedic. As I remember the scene in the book making me swear so much and rage at the betrayal.

Just finished the book of elsewhere, by Keanu Reeves and China Mieville. Loved it. Now onto The Upper World By Femi Fadugba from Togo.

Science fiction from Lebanon. The comics are only just sci-fi but the book is far more sci-fi-esque. And Keanu was born in Lebanon so he qualifies for my round the world project!

In Greece, with views of Albania, reading a book by an author from Togo, and a bookmark from an author born in Ghana. Loving science fiction from around the world!

Just finished section 2 of lex talions by @rsagarcia.bsky.social and the duel fight scenes at the end of section 2 were so cool! Perfectly choreographed on so many levels.

Just started this from a Catalonian author, so far so good. Slightly odd wetting style, with number paragraphs in each chapter and most paragraphs starting with the word "And" nice premise no very sci fi so far though.

Finished a Hungarian book, a South Korean book, soviet union book, and now onto a French Canadian book. Oh yeah, all sci fi. Obviously. Whilst on holiday in France.
