OKAY! I am only on ep3 but this thread touches on Some Thoughts Of My Own™️ specifically re: how (white) men write (racialized) women, even and maybe especially when it is supposed to be a biracial Black woman lead of her own series

I'll risk offense by saying that although I am still really enjoying Neagley (in many ways more than Reacher), it does reveal that there are some gendered stuff we let slide in Reacher to find our full enjoyment of Large Man, even if he is liked for eschewing some of the messier tropes.

Nobody ever wants to listen to me and to be fair, I'm just one person in the vast sea of humanity here inside of America but I'll bring this up one more time. Stop telling trans people and other marginalized peeps they'll be sent to concentration camps, cis liberals. It's disgusting.
idk man there were reports of ICE abuse against immigrants in those concentration camps years now and I saw it for myself to regarding my dad, the man was so thin and looked so filthy. He also shared with me additional details over our phone calls, WHICH I HAD TO PAY FOR, that were evil.

It is extremely, EXTREMELY, insensitive to descendants of the Holocaust to in any way downplay the seriousness of talking about people being "sent to camps", a statement that should not be normalized in any way at all. Ever. Because of all the people that died, Aaron.
Are they threatening trans users directly? No. Trans folks in the US have been targeted repeatedly. That's awful and you have my sympathy.
Within the context of a single post we wouldn't consider it a direct threat or targeting a protected category. Ie send trans folks to concentration camps.
