I’m in dozens of Reddit book communities and I can confirm this. More and more readers are talking about turning away from indies because of a fear of AI.

People who use AI to write literally don't realize how much they harm writers who DON'T use AI. They're making people want to support us indie writers less. And it sucks, but I don't blame them. Lord knows I don't wanna take a risk and accidentally purchase AI either. AI affects EVERYONE.

Absolutely, this. If you are able, please visit your local library, it is so crucial. And if that isn't quite accessible, there are apps like Libby that allow you to put in your library card and check out library books from the comfort of home without having to physically visit one.
