Today is Aortic Dissection Awareness Day. Know the signs.

Sudden, severe chest, back or abdominal pain is a typical symptom of aortic dissection. But some cases are painless or present in unexpected ways. Sometimes the only signs are neurological, such as sudden weakness or collapse.

I really wonder what the story is of Tom Watson's total moral collapse. Is it really just the money and some narcissistic contrarianism?

He used to champion digital rights as key Labour ally for @openrightsgroup.org

Then he turned betting industry lobbyist, then crackpot theorist, now this.

Just look at the glee on Nigel Farage’s face as he watches a Piddington resident cry about the overt racism she, her Caribbean heritage husband, and their two children have felt in the village during the referendum.

Time and again he’s showing us exactly who he is.

This [inspired/prompted/triggered*] me into writing something I've been meaning to get off my chest for a few years.

It's a summary of a few things I learned from being involved in the roll out of the COVID-19 vaccines locally.

This is terrible. RFK & other antivaccine propagandists should be ashamed

But before we Brits feel smug, please note that similar dangerous antivaccine untruths have also affected us, though they aren’t from the governing party (yet)

It’s a testament to the freedom and the safety of the UK that our Leader can go for a 13 mile, almost 2hr run in an extremely public event without obvious security detail surrounding him.

Just thinking about this creates a sense of pride.

Will decide on success of “does normal” based on his chip-time.
Seeing Andy Burnham do the Great North Run it is striking how he ‘does normal’ so much better than most other politicians (who are all normal too of course!) when it’s a trait that our research suggests is increasingly important to how citizens engage with and view politics.

It was an honour to join the US Ambassador at the US Embassy for the 25th anniversary commemoration of 9/11.

A quarter of a century on, we remember all those who were killed, the families who continue to carry their loss, and the courage of those who responded.

A third of nurses and a third of doctors were born overseas.

Without immigrants the NHS would collapse. You are more likely to be treated by an immigrant than to be behind one in a queue.

Massive underfunding of our NHS and lack of social housing were a political choice.

I think the worst part of Labour's response to the fascist mobilisation is Andy Burnham's absence.

He's the most popular politician in the country, with social media reach and actual powers of persuasion, and he's saying nothing in public. He can actually be of use here but he's choosing not to
