I can think of worse places I've done my payroll run from.

Absolutely loving this Mac Neo too!

It's been great for doing the odd check in when I've needed it while on holiday.

Absolute winner of a day.

I give it an hour before I have to go and seek shade because I can't handle the sun.

🚨 SetReps has to fully rebrand.

Got an email this morning from someone who owns the trademark SetRep in the fitness space.

Tried to pivot it and approach an acquisition of the trademark and assets, but they're not up for it.

Gutted, I really liked that name too! #buildinpublic

As an app user (not as a developer, which most of us are)
Which process would you prefer?

- Free app, no time constraints on usage, basic ads around the app, pay a small fee to remove ads permanently
- Free app, 7-day trial, small fee to unlock the full app after the trial

So it appears that I pulled my chest during yesterday's workout. Thought I was having a heart attack for a second.

Realised I probably should have stretched for a while before working out.

Anyway... that's now a new feature in the @setreps.app 🤣

Well, this just changes everything for me in MyFitnessPal.

Top-tier feature this.

I got tired of manually reading competitors' lowest-rated app reviews.

I built a small tool that automates this for me. 🙌🏻

It collects low reviews from App Store & Google Play, then uses AI to find patterns and rank the pain points.

Only took a few hours to build.

Weighted Lunges are the worst leg exercise ever.

Absolutely hate that the @setreps.app decided to throw that into my leg workout today. 🤣

Could just delete that exercise 🤣

Nearly 100k lifted so far by SetReps test users.

I'll get that over the line later. 💪🏻

Testing is going well, added new features and some performance tweaks.

My to-do list is much smaller now, it's nearly ready for launch!

Promoting launch to the end of Feb.

Completed level 43, on to level 44 now.

The @setreps.app is getting closer to launch!!

I've been using it for a month now and started noticing some design inconsistencies, so I've taken a screenshot of absolutely every screen in the app.

I can easily see what needs tweaking next from this! #buildinpublic

Bought a new camera to test out for some content creation. Will eventually use this for my app's videos, too.

How did I do? www.tiktok.com/@shanefromse...

I'm well outside of my comfort zone filming stuff like this.
Should probably do some running as part of this #ultramarathontraining #running #workout #ducks #insta360

I'm a few days into creating content for TikTok and I now have a newfound respect for people that don't daily.

This is a real grind to get things edited and published.

If you're active over there see what you think of my first videos and give me a follow 😋

Three iterations of the same screen in my fitness app.

1️⃣ Initial wireframe idea (top section planned for video).
2️⃣ Updates after real workout use exposed friction.
3️⃣ Refined after sharing and getting feedback.

Much happier now. It’s starting to feel like a real app!

That'll do for now for the homescreen tweaks. Looks a little bit better. Those icons just didn't fit.

I think I need to spend more time researching app designs.

Absolutely procrastinated while doing this work and ended up creating a "Side Quests" mode.

5 workouts over 2 weeks logged in my app now.

I think another week and it'll have plenty of data for my algorithm to start learning things.

Absolutely taking the weekend off training, as the app recommends, and will be redesigning the home screen.

I thought I was being clever by using a single-screen layout, advancing each exercise set as a new screen.

It started to annoy me during last night's workout.

So naturally, I've redesigned it to a single screen.🤣

Testing that on this evening's workout. #buildinpublic

Today in "What am I doing with this Fitness App?"

I've created a small tool that uses ReMotion to generate some daily videos. Sharing these on socials like this to try and build up the socials

Example in the comment below -

Yesterday's video went 🚀 on TikTok

Just spent the last 30 mins trying to work out why a decimal won't store in the database.

Field was set as int4 🤣

That's me done for the day. 10 hours of work has cooked me.

Added some weekly review screens, which users can swipe through every Monday to see their progress.

Really need to start thinking about the designs now that I have all the data collected for the screens. 🤣

Three workouts logged in the @setreps.app now.

Starting to work really well. I think the big test will be a month or so in when there's tons of data logged for my account.

Few more tweaks going on my list for tomorrow.

@setreps.app is working great for me, and I'm only a few days in to using it.

🎉 The progressive overload logic is something I spent the most time on, and that's working perfectly🎉

Finding some small bugs, but mostly starting to hate the design now though. 😆

@setreps.app is live! But only for me, for the next 3 months.

I've just logged my first full workout in the app, which was a bit surreal. I now have a massive list of tweaks I want to fix before my next workout on Monday.

The more workouts I log, the better the smart workout creation gets.
