Yesterday, Sheffield honoured one of its best-known fundraisers with a Sheffield Legends plaque.

John Burkhill, known to many as "The Man with the Pram", received the award for his years of fundraising and charity work.

​Jack Hunter was born and grew up in Crookes back in the 1850s.

​​He brought ‘Sheffield Rules’ to Blackburn Olympic, the first northern working-class team to win the FA Cup in 1883.

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Sheffield 10K!

The run leaves Arundel Gate at 9.30am on Sunday 27 September and follows a route up Ecclesall Road, round Endcliffe Park, and back.

If you will be driving, plan your route in advance as some roads will be closed.

The Plan is a long-term blueprint that guides where new homes, jobs, transport links, and community facilities should go between now and 2039.

The Tour de France Grand Départ 2027 team is inviting 18- to 25-year-olds to volunteer!

The Readiness to Work programme helps young volunteers become job ready, building the skills and experience needed for employment.

A Sheffield legend is set to be honoured.

John 'The Man with the Pram' Burkhill will receive a Sheffield Legends plaque for his outstanding contributions to the city.

He has raised over £1.2 million for Macmillan Cancer Support and supported many in the community.

The Rose Garden Café restoration project has reached a major milestone. Planning permission has now been approved.

This success follows years of hard work by locals, volunteers, and the Council. More than £60,000 raised for this project!

The Lord Mayor of Sheffield has given a special artwork to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Created by artist Luke Horton, it signifies the bond between Sheffield and Bochum, showcasing how football unites us.
