£36million is a strange amount, what's that about? For it to happen twice is quite sinister. Also, what does everyone think Niggle is going to spend £72000000 on? Wrong answers only.

I'm enjoying the new Interpol very much, I hope it isn't one of those albums which has instant appeal but no longevity. Not going to win them any more fans though, it's too Interpol.

The lounge had a makeover and the CDs were rescued from the loft nearly 3 years after moving in.

This week I went for a walk in the countryside near my house and also went to see Part Chimp in Birmingham. The two things couldn't be more different but I loved them both.

I saw EIGHT Magpies fussing over some roadkill this morning. I'm not even sure that's legal.

I knew all about the show, had spoken to friends who had seen it this year and loved it and I wanted to see it more than anything else this year and *still* it didn't disappoint. David Byrne at Cardiff Castle. ❤️

In Ludlow cos we're going to see the Human League tomorrow and Paul Weller is playing whilst we're in the pub garden.

Heavy vibes on FIFA using VAR to ensure a Messi Vs Ronaldo final because that will bring more money in.

In the garden room listening to John Peel's Fabric compilation on my new dinky cd player. I've turned the Aircon off because it was a bit too cold, hahahaha.

It's 254000 scrobbles day on @lastfm.bsky.social and our wedding first dance song celebrates it. Which was 24/5 but pleasingly close.

Personal Trainer & Adult DVD seem to have self confirmed for Future Days fest in Brum this October, which is ace. I'm not doing a Google search for those two bands at the same time though.

I used to make playlists a lot on the streamers and I don't really anymore, but this one has recently returned to my consciousness and it's full of treats. Qobuz though, because I care.

Pretty amazed that Blue sky is still as lovely as it ever was and that the only aggressive stuff is quite a few people calling Tony Blair a cunt, which is of course correct.

Bearded Theory was pretty much perfect, GANS and Getdown Services rightly took the bow for their returns after last year's revelations. I thought it might be my 20th Pixies gig but I can only think of 17 so far. Westside Cowboy, The Sabres of Paradise, Lynks, The Wedding Present, The Nightingales a*

We bought the veggie mixed box last week. So awesome, I don't recommend anything but music on here really but if you are a fan of curries you can't go wrong giving this a go. We actually got 14 meals out of the 8 curries included across 3 days! £80 delivered to your doorstep frozen, 8 naans too.
Who's for Michelin-star home delivery curry? To celebrate two Michelin star chef, restaurateur and Great British Menu champion and judge, Aktar Islam (born #onthisday 8 Apr 1980). He runs 'Aktar at Home' from Birmingham alongside his revered restaurant 'Opheem'. Happy birthday! 🍜

These are the only 4 cd's I've had in the car for over a year now. I have streaming too, but these are driving albums!

By way of PWEI, The Prodigy and Lo Fidelity Allstars I ended up listening to Audio Bullys over the weekend and now the Ego War album is on repeat. I do own the cd but haven't actively listened to it for 15 years. It's brilliant, even if it's just nostalgia.

Made pancakes tonight because don't tell me when to eat food. The last one ended up reminding me of the Echo and the Bunnymen logo.
