The first day of SICSS-Penn 2026 just recently concluded! We were honored to have @dhopkins1776.bsky.social deliver the opening remarks, and @dalbarra.bsky.social give the first lecture on AI and the psychology of persuasion.
Why don't reported treatment effects generalize? On Thursday, Ying Jin explained that it is not only because of covariate shift (the "usual suspect") — but also because of conditional shift. Quantifying their relative contributions is important in all experimental research.
