Radically pedestrian urban planning. Chicago-centric. ✶✶✶✶

We need a mayor who doesn't just wing it. Hatched and raised right here in Chicago, Imani is raising his chicks in the same neighborhood he grew up in. He knows what it means to build a home in the city. Vote Imani.
Who says Illinois doesn't build transit to green space?

Have we considered also keeping political offices vacant if turnout in elections drops below a certain threshold?

The Europeans are offering us a $15K EV that tops out at 25mph with a 46-mile range.

I'm not going to bet on it with that sticker price, but with gas at all-time high prices, it just might work.

Now I want "Safety Sticks." Can we have safety sticks to id drivers who park in Chicago's bike lanes?
Speed cameras are unlawful in New Jersey but the state does allow local police to use photos from these 'Safety Sticks' to identify drivers who park illegally in crosswalks. They then get a parking ticket in the mail... www.nj.com/traffic/2026...
Cameras are catching illegal parkers in N.J. towns, and tickets are arriving in the mail
The solar-powered roadside cameras snap pictures of vehicles parked in restricted areas.

Sort of insane fact about how broken US urban planning is—America now spends more building *just the lights for roads and highways* than on all subways & ground mass transit combined

Spending on roadway *pavement* is 18x transit spending

Hear me out: maybe it's bad for Illinois business to give tax freebies to the Dick Wolf productions that make Chicago seem to the rest of the state/country like a lawless hellscape that's constantly on fire.
Illinois issued nearly $1 billion in tax credits to film and TV productions over the past six years.

The film industry and Gov. Pritzker say the credits help keep Illinois competitive for film jobs. Critics warn they could shift hundreds of millions in fiscal burden to taxpayers.
