Petite Maman! Wrecked me. One of the first films I added to my 'Don’t show my therapist…' list on @letterboxd.social, which of course has two of Joachim Trier films on it.
Four Favorites with Sentimental Value director Joachim Trier 🎬

Trier is nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay at the 98th Academy Awards. And today he celebrates his birthday.

I just want to know if Quinn Hughes' ghosts speak Italian

Got to explain Etsy Witches to my therapist today, so... that's a win, I guess.

Steve Buscemi and Alfred Hitchcock, and I'm very OK with that.
who were your most watched actor and director of 2025? 🎬

Heartbreaking.

(Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead - is available on Tubi, if anyone wants to give it a watch) #filmsky

I make a lot of pop culture and movie references in therapy, but today is the first time I've quoted a Fall Out Boy debut-album lyric.

My brain has been in such a fog that I told my friend I watched the new live action version of “How I Met Your Dragon”

I love a pizza place that smells like I’m getting a participation trophy

Finally saw Black Bag, what a stylish and fun film. Also - great freaking cast.

Watching one of my former student-athletes defend her master’s thesis and feeling so proud. It’s the second time I’ve been virtually invited to one of these, and honestly, those invites make me smile more than most things in my career.

I just realized that when my brain is happy, I instinctively repeat the opening riff of Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ in my head... so that's a thing.

I'd been putting off seeing a certain 'based on a true story' film for the longest time, because I already know the true (super sad) story. Now I'm regretting watching the film, but for entirely different reasons.

Do I hate this film? Might be.

Simpsons-levels of (coincidental) foreshadowing (Nostradamus-ing?) with the opening shot of Major League being one of the Guardians of Traffic. #filmsky #movies #baseball

Can't decide which is nerdier when watching a film, being able to pick out the composer or the cinematographer... or the former professional wrestler in a small role. #filmsky #movies

What do you do on a depressed snow day? Apparently, watch Nicolas Cage films.

Truly WILD use of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' in Face/Off, by the way.

I've been rewatching the mid-to-late 2000s comedies recently and it's been super weird seeing which films have lost their luster, and thinking why they have, while also being completely amazed and excited when one holds up.

Truly wild to me how much a non-mustachioed Burt Reynolds in The Longest Yard looks like Sean Connery in You Only Live Twice (after his, um... 'makeover').

Growing up is realizing that the music from the Daredevil (2003) soundtrack is essentially lifted from your high school iPod, but is now the type of music your dad listens to.

The 2015 version of Fantastic Four is truly baffling. Super good cast and solid performances, but it doesn't seem like the game plan had them trying to score any runs. Wild viewing experience.

Are we at the point in the series where even Jason Mendoza realizes the plot twist?

I'm going to miss the coven that showed up in my algorithm regularly... also dogs who 'speak' in Australian accents. And oh so many recipes I am too alone to make.

Attempting to dip my toes into the waters that are non-MCU Marvel movies… I’m a wee bit scared.

Watched “The Revenant” today, couldn’t stop thinking to myself…

“You’re listening to The Dollop!”
