The Pink Fish dives deep through a bright blue sea, weaving past green seaweed in search of food. Its large brown eye conveys curiosity and character, while the bold pink colour adds playful energy to the scene. A simple, vivid artwork full of movement and imagination.

A fragment of a face becomes a quiet mystery in *Red Lips*. Bright lipstick, a silver earring, and cropped details create a bold, modern collage image that feels cinematic and intimate. Handmade and minimalist, this card invites the viewer to imagine the story beyond the frame.

The sunflower paintings by Vincent van Gogh are iconic images of the twentieth century. I often see them when I visit London. Replicating an artist's work helps you understand the subject matter as the artist saw it.

Collage from an old 2018 diary, transformed by rust-coloured squares and sweeping ink gestures. I love returning to this kind of playful making, just for an hour or two. #CollageArt #ArtistAtWork #A4Sketchbook #VisualPoetry

A mixed-media collage created on a lined 2018 A4 diary page. Features orange square cutouts, pale blue and grey paper shapes, black ink brushstrokes, and soft smudged textures, arranged in a flowing composition that resembles a necklace.

Sketched this at the British Museum—a carved amethyst figure, hands (or sword?) held to the chest. It felt like an amulet. Ancient skies, quiet power. #art #drawing #museumsketch #BritishMuseum #amulet #SimonBurdgeArt
The drawing depicts a figure holding what could be a sword or simply their own hands in a moment of quiet solemnity. The bold blue and black lines create a vibrant atmosphere, perhaps reminiscent of the mysterious ancient sky of a forgotten era, or even capturing the emotional depth of the here and now.

Quick life drawing—caught her looking over her shoulder. Background and tones added later. “Frozen moment of action” was likely the theme of the session.

Charcoal sketch of two heads in profile alongside a figure—likely from a life drawing session. I love the raw energy of charcoal.
