How arrogant and out of touch do you have to be to roll this out when people across the political spectrum are screaming that they do not want more AI.
AI that builds Canada strong for all: that’s our mission.

We’re supporting 10,000 AI-related internships for young Canadians — to empower them to use this technology safely and confidently.

Did you know we have puffins in the Salish Sea? A small number of Tufted Puffins (Fratercula cirrhata) breed on Smith Island just over the U.S. border from Victoria. I got to see this fancy friend a couple weeks ago!

Slavoj Žižek has my dream job. I watched him speak in front of a crowd for 45 minutes uninterrupted about whatever he felt like while the host watched helplessly. when he finally finished she said "wise words" and he said "I HATE WISDOM" then started talking again

Interested to see how this progresses. I have high hopes for commuter rail but the process has stalled so many times getting mired in feasibility studies that it has just become more complex to build. Let's hope it's not just more political hot air this time.

Read the fine print. Analyze things that are 'out of place.'

From scrapping anti-greenwashing laws, to a terrible approach to Indigenous rights, to NON-BINDING 'regulations' on U.S. AI Data Centres, Carney’s only real plan is selling off Canada. #CDNpoli

It’s a bit odd to talk about potential costs when in reality nobody has *any* idea what Carney actually has in mind,

I can’t remember a single time in the past 50 years where one man was given such latitude to determine Canada’s future in the absence of *any* public debate or discussion.
There are costs for Mark Carney’s closer ties with Europe
There could be a political cost in addition to the financial price tag for Canada’s proposed “unique alliance” with the European Union.

If there's one benefit to clear cutting, it's that I can make an unhinged amount of jelly from the fireweed flowers that come up after the logging company has trashed everything.

It's kinda crazy how all world leaders seem to have just decided to give up on fighting the climate crisis and let the poor and middle class burn/drown/starve or whatever while they race to see who can make the most profit off that dystopia for the next decade or so

WE HAVE AVOCET NEWS!!!

An Avocet spotted at RSPB Middleton Lakes has been confirmed as the oldest ever recorded in the UK.

At 36 years old, it's lived more than five times longer than the species' average lifespan.

First ringed in 1990, it's still out there doing Avocet things.

Go on Avocet. 😍

Maybe I’m a contrarian or a Luddite, but I kind of pride myself on the fact I don’t use any AI in my production workflow.

There’s a whole industry of tools that *technically* make it easier, but personally I feel the end result is better when you’re hands on from start to finish.
