Small scared cat has finally gotten up the nerve to climb up on the recliner to get to me. She stabbed me for a while and then curled up and shoved her head into my elbow.
She’s 5, we’ve had her since she was 8 wks, she’s always been afraid of everything.
I could cry, I’m so happy she feels safe.

Sleeping alone tonight- I think our mattress is exacerbating my wife’s back pain so I encouraged her to sleep on the much firmer guest bed to see if that helps at all.
And NO CATS have come to save me. Ingrates!

I usually find emails from our it security guy at work annoying at best. (Pushy, mildly condescending, excessive use of rich text in unhelpful ways.) but today’s scolding about use of AI was pretty good, I must say.
