Been seeing a lot of discourse RE: Metroid and what games to reccomend to a newcomer and I think everyone's overthinking it. If you're new to Metroid just look at what's there on the eShop/NSO and try out what interests you, don't worry about lore until you know how you like the games themselves

The tech indusustry of today will be quickly supplanted by a cottage industry of repurposed e-waste. China will become the primary distributor of computer hardware but it'll take a few years. Most FAANG companies will die uncerimoniously. The only big game companies will be Valve and Nintendo
It's inevitable that the AI bubble will collapse, but I think the more pertinent question is what technology is going to look like in our day-to-day lives after that because I don't think we're going back to anything like the startup boom era after this is all said and done for.

I can't stress enough that if you think Ravenous looks raw as hell you should buy it regardless of your previous experience with the series, this game is shaping up to be an even better on-ramp for new fans than Dread was
