In the UK-only Vauxhall Astra range (effectively identical to the Kadett) the saloon bodystyle was offered briefly from 1980, in 2- or 4-door styles, but only on lower-spec versions, The very basic E also had penny-pinching round headlamps, while the L version had the regular integrated units.

190 miles done in Eco the Sahara Panda today; what a fuss-free little car. Just gets on with it, and the 1.1 FIRE engine enjoys being worked hard like a proper Italian. Lovely views at Rutland Water, and also v pleased with the almost OEM Blaupunkt Bluetooth radio.
