One bit of advice for new #PhDStudents...

Remember the PhD isn't your whole life - even if you are led to believe that by faculty.

Your mental and physical health always comes first. You are allowed to enjoy the next few years of your life, your life doesn't get put on hold by studying.

Church in Wales says trans rights. I did not see this coming, brought me to tears & I'm not even a christian
Incredible statement from the Church in Wales on the ignominious Code of Practice: "The Church in Wales will not use equality law exemptions to exclude trans people from our worship, our sacraments, our pastoral care, or our common life." www.churchinwales.org.uk/en/news-and-...

Really great event earlier this week by Collective Encounters about what health and arts could look like if disabled expertise was centered. I learnt so much, and will definitely be talking crip time theory with my supervisor!

SUPER productive day at the PAH writing retreat, despite the heat 😅 results section alone is currently 6k, with one theme left to go... oops.

Super interesting evening at the Queer Data Showcase! Really cool to hear people talk about data in ways that break that traditional-acadmia-research box, despite being very much an in-the-box guy myself 😂

Sharing my (already outdated, oops) scoping review poster. It's always a confidence boost when people show interest in your project - even if it is just asking how you made your diagram 😂
