I resent a lot of things about AI in creative spaces.
But the thing that I hate the most is that a year or two ago, if I saw something cool on the internet, I DIDN'T HAVE TO QUESTION whether or not human effort created it.
I could appreciate what an achievement it was that a person could do that.

one positive* thing to come out of the whole ai nonsense is that the internet and modern tech have become so fucking unbearable to browse and use that i just go outside way more now. like i just sit in the grass and watch birds and critters with my cat. ai can't touch me while im touching grass

Sorin would be like the one guy who is only encounterable if you fulfil specific requirements. He'd take alcohol, sweets and bread as gifts. But even if you fulfilled all his requirements and gave him gifts youd never unlock a romance route but he'd do chores for you on your farm randomly.

20 y/o me would be impressed by my impressive art skills and also that I can order pizza and make phone calls without crippling anxiety!

When I was a kid, anytime I'd get excited about something and start speaking about it, I would get loud and so many times my brother would yell at me to stop yelling and shouting and Id always be confused because I didn't percieve myself as yelling or shouting but just being excited
We're socialized to constantly apologize for being too outwardly excited about things, but this world is so full of terror and misery that I'd rather see those bursts of light and passion shine through the cracks wherever you can find them.

The "creatives" who use genAI at any part of their process need to understand I'm not desperate for new media.
There is such a backlog of arts, movies, books, and games WITHOUT genAI that if nothing new was made again, I'd still need a hundred lifetimes to consume even a fraction of it.
