I forgot all about the Apple thing. I think I'm done with iPhones again and looking at the Pixel 10a. Cheap phone, newish, will run Graphene. I hate Android more than I hate Apple, but hopefully Graphene would make it something I wouldn't mind.

When you think about, enshittification has already existed for years: it's called "being a landlord." They sell you on how great the property is, you sign the lease, and they proceed to let the property devolve and then tell you fixing things to make them livable would be prohibitively expensive.

My spouse started having numbness on her right side last night. Called 911. Hey blood pressure was sky high. We went to the ER. Wheee! Blood clot in a vein in her brain. She’s been on blood thinner since last night. She’s doing well. MRI was scheduled and she was on her way for it when I left today.
