I‘m not feeling confident about doing major art pieces with human figures based on obscure mythology. It has to somehow still be appealing to people who don’t know what it is.

Absolutely THIS. People think a dollar or two isn't "real"support, or isn't enough and like no no, IT IS ACTUALLY SO MUCH bc it adds up!

I found a Russian fantasy book that looks interesting, from a pop song based on it. But the only thing accessible English is a very detailed summary. I’m sure auto translate would be horrible.

Conclusion - 1 and 2 is a fun exercise. Don’t try to turn to turn into 1st person without completely restarting.
I suppose the least efficient way of writing is POV 1, redo with POV 2, redo 1st person.

I love to draw technically possible, but impractical clothing. looks great in illustrations, but for designing characters it’s harder.
