What are badgers doing in September?
As autumn arrives, badgers prepare for colder months by gathering bedding materials like grass, leaves, and moss to warm their setts.

Advice from Badger Trust. In dry weather, badgers struggle to find earthworms but adapt by seeking wasp larvae and insects. Help them by providing fresh water and small amounts of natural foods like fruit or unsalted nuts, keeping feeding minimal to avoid dependence.

Summer sun is great for us but tough on wildlife. Badgers are arriving dehydrated as baked ground blocks food and water. Put out bird safe peanuts for badgers, dog food for foxes and wet food or small cat kibble for hedgehogs. Fresh water in shallow dishes is vital.
