Travel book site is rebuilt. Nothing new on it, but it's not WordPress anymore because I'm sick to death of that shit. Using a more limited builder that's easier, makes much more sense for a simpler site.

Set up an auto-responder for something, and the katakana of my name refuses to come through un-garbled. Instead of マンソンデビッド it comes through as マ ソンデビッド.
WHYYYYYYYY?!?!
I have spent nearly the whole day chasing stupid little bugs like this. I just want shit to work already.

It happens so infrequently it always comes as a shock and feels like a slight betrayal, but it is inevitable. The battery in my light meter has run out.

I have a question that I've been holding off on asking because it feels like something I should know.
The bank details I provide clients to pay me by bank transfer (name, bank, branch, acct no): is there any risk in these details being available publicly on my site?

Just re-injured my fucked up toe. Must deal with it silently, as the baby is sleeping.

Posting these here first before auction sites just in case someone's interested. Two fountain pens that are great but I just don't use. A Platinum 3776 Gathered (M) and a Sailor Pro Gear (F). They deserve a home where they'll actually be used. DM if interested. Shares appreciated

Ok, time to get serious about clearing things out. This Mamiya 6 is a lot of fun. Let's call it USD $125, shipping included anywhere in the world.
It's always worked great for me, but sold as-is given the age. Happy to answer any questions.

In the interest of minimizing and making space, selling this lovely Mamiya 6 folder with original hood, cap, and yellow filter. Cracked finder glass but it doesn't affect performance. Lens is clean, shutter crisp, bellows good. Looking for US $150 plus shipping from Japan.

This morning when the earthquake hit, I was coming out of a VERY deep sleep and wasn't grasping reality well. Ended up grabbing the cat and trying to protect him, my brain having mistaken him for the baby. The cat was more alarmed by this than by the quake. At least the impulse was in right place...

We used to do this thing we called "The Saturday Sandwich," which was me making up some rad sandwich to enjoy for lunch on a Saturday. Today, we resumed the tradition with ham on french bread with guacamole, sprouts, pickled onions, roasted red peppers, and mayo. It was damned good.

Finally got the baby to sleep. She looked super peaceful and cute, so I took a picture.
