Hoping to give more to this world than I take.

I love reading, taking pictures of the sky, corgis, makeup, and Legos.

Blue dot in a very red West Texas town.

If you DM me, I’ll ignore it, unless I know you.

At least 70 miners are dead or missing after an artisanal gold mine collapse in Sudan. The site is remote and the ground is sandy and unstable so rescue and recovery is difficult, especially as they lack the equipment to do so safely.

We won our lawsuit against the USDA over its illegal attempt to cut off SNAP benefits for tens of thousands of lawful permanent residents.

This victory will help ensure our most vulnerable residents can access the programs they rely on to put food on the table.

This shit is infuriating
A memo from the Fish and Wildlife Service suggests that only intentional killing of endangered animals should be illegal. This interpretation would dramatically narrow the scope of the Endangered Species Act, likely leading to extinction of North Atlantic right whales and other endangered animals.

part of this is obviously national political conditions but don't underrate the extent to which a bunch of these incumbent republicans have never had to run a competitive general election campaign and basically do not know how to do it

NEW: Sports reporting is shrinking. But at ProPublica, we’re diving in.

We won’t cover the games, but we’ll be keeping score — of which powerful people are winning, of who’s being hurt and of which systems can be held accountable.
Why ProPublica Is Leaning Into Sports Investigations
Sports is a wealthy, powerful industry. We’ll cover the system instead of the games. We’ll ask who’s responsible for some of its biggest problems and who’s preventing them from being fixed.

still not detecting supply issues. it's not rare for some individual stations to run low/out of fuel temporarily. some may not want to risk buying thousands of gallons amidst a spike, believing prices could drop, then they're stuck with $$$ fuel. will always keep you informed.

incredible: just two states that haven't reached the $6/gal mark for diesel, but they'll likely join today, making it all 50 states that have diesel prices >$6 per gallon. Texas and Oklahoma clinging (for now) at $5.98 and $5.99, respectively. come on in, the water's boiling!

Texans are getting their asses kicked by high gas and grocery prices. Data center resource consumption and the THC ban have pissed people off. Beef producers are fuming.

Nobody gives a shit about this.
C'mon Texas. Prove you're not this dumb!

Talked to the insurance company regarding my Orencia denial. They said my doctor filled out the paperwork incorrectly. They filed for continuation of therapy but it needs to be initiation of therapy. One word. So now I need to call them back and ask them to do it right.
