#scriptsky Is it unusual for a writer-director with their own production company to request a development fee if you approach them about directing your film? My understanding is that you’re inviting them to collaborate creatively and help shape the story to fit

I did one of those 1-hr consults via @roadmapwriters.com with a network exec just to see. First 5 min spent on my bkground. Next 7+ spent complimenting the script. One note took 5 min. Spent another 5 chatting. Said if he’s spending an hour giving notes, it’s prob not a good script 😭 Short = good 🙏🏽

Growing up, I loved horror films. As I’ve gotten older, they’re not so much my thing anymore. That said, I still watch the Scream films.
I heard Scream 7 wasn’t great. Given I figured out who Ghostface(s) was 25 minutes into the movie, I’d have to concur 😭.
