LGBTQ+ bars are more than places to gather. They are sacred spaces where generations of our community have found safety, belonging, joy and chosen family. No one should be targeted for entering, working at or finding community in an LGBTQ+ space.

Last week, allies of trans youth gathered outside the Clark County School Board to show support for Nevada’s trans students. Moments like this show us voters believe in treating trans youth & all LGBTQ+ people with dignity & respect…momentum we need to keep up heading into the midterms!

While we celebrate ratification of the 19th Amendment, we recognize that it wasn’t until 1965 that Black women finally gained the ability to exercise the same rights that white women gained in 1920. Our elections will never be fair as long as the voices of any women are suppressed.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of musical icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton. As legendary for her exaggerated glamour as her hit songs, Dolly was a longtime ally & supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. Dolly, we will always love you.

We're grateful for Protecting Immigrant Families for uplifting our work in their newsletter. LGBTQ+ equality includes all the intersections, including immigrants, who are facing federal attacks from all sides. We'll continue advocating for immigration justice, until the work is done.
