One of my favorite cases of someone being Wrong on the Internet was a very earnest, very confused vegan who was telling people how cruel honey is; and it eventually turned out they thought honey was made by putting bees in a centrifuge and spinning them around until they threw up.

gonna go slightly against the grain with that bar story. I think it’s not totally absurd for community members to want a masks only bar, but if they want control, they should offer to collectively purchase and cooperatize it instead of expecting one person to go into debt

i'm kind of in a weird condition, disability-wise where I simply cannot reliably be upright for more than three hours a day on average without dissociating, but I've lucked into a career and a job where that doesn't get in the way.

this is why harassing or stoking harassment against someone backfires, because either you succeed in giving them a depressive episode and can't dunk on them further, or you don't succeed and you just sound socially inept
the worst part of seeing someone you dislike experiencing mental health issues on main is that it's the worst possible time to explain why you dislike them; you have to get them better and *then* you explain they're an idiot who mistakes passion for policy expertise
