It would be so awesome if all the laws fit in one pdf that was like 100 pages long and you could download it from the government's website. Each law is like one line and it just simply says what it means with no bullshit. Imagine if a citizen could actually know the rules, that would be awesome.

I hate when someone says "I think we should be less cruel to each other" and someone else replies "you're dumb and bad because you clearly care more about not hurting people's feelings than you do about being effective" seemingly ignoring the possibility that not being cruel *is* the most effective.

I'm against the death penalty but I think there should be a fake death penalty where you experience dying but don't actually die. Like they haul you into the town square and you feel yourself get your head chopped off by a guillotine while everyone watches. Then you walk away and you're fine.

I hate searching a word to find its definition or learn about it, and instead what comes up first is a company named after the word. There are so many companies now especially in tech that it feels like words can't just be words anymore, they're also brands just by default. Feels dirty.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, it makes sense that it should be okay to talk rudely about celebrities because it's disingenuous for them to reap the benefits of fame but the drawbacks are off-limits. On the other hand, the psychological burden of being mocked by millions seems innately cruel.
