Due to the complications of travel in the Drift, many Pact Worlds contracts have done away with mileage claims and hourly rates after multiple cases of starship crews spending "3 weeks in Drift transit" turned out to be "3 days in the Drift, 10 day vacation, fly back to Absalom."

If you find yourself caught up in one of Triaxus' storms during their centuries-long winters, there's often nothing you can do but hunker down somewhere warm with a stack of holovids and warm beverages, and wait til the weather calms down enough to undig and depart.
