What does SoIB say about House Sparrows?

As per the SoIB 2023 report, the overall current annual trend shows a decline. The SoIB 2020 report indicated that while the population was stable overall, there was a drop in urban areas.

A new paper talks about riverine bird populations in the Himalayan Rivers.

In addition to the threats faced by the birds due to habitat destruction, pollution, climate change, the study also reported 5-10% decline of five species.
