I was behind the scenes, at Iguanas, in that interview he did in Tijuana with Johnny Lydon (PIL). RIP Dave Kendall.
Dave Kendall, RIP. In high school, I saw him as an ambassador of a world I wanted to be in--as far away from Connecticut as you could get. 120 Minutes forever.

If Pitchfork gives a lower score to the new MoM record with Lee “Scratch” Perry, or to the marvelous new album by the Tara Clerkin Trio, than the score it gave to BoC, then it has become a worse platform than CBS. 🤡

Rest in power Areski Belkacem, French-Algerian singer and composer who was Brigitte Fontaine's partner for more than 50 years. When I visited Brigitte in Paris, he was in hospital and she kept saying "he should be here". Thanks for the music Areski, including Vous et Nous, one of my favourite albums

The new BoC album sounds like Mogwai, Deep Forest and Loop Guru cutting-up a Robert Ashley opera, leaving only a spectral trace of BoC behind.
