And so Val decided to keep it! (this is genuinely one of my favourite drawing here 🤭🤭)
btw, no Vox's chest isn't THAT big lmfao— his position really gave him that rack and I don't regret it actually 🤷

The fact that a comment that links to articles and a research paper stating that fanfic writers do, in fact, have copyright over the actual words they write, EVEN THOUGH fanfic in general remains a legal grey area, is getting downvoted I think says a lot about... a lot.
But anyway, links to stuff 👇

i was like jesus christ okay it makes sense then why you don't treat authors like people. you don't know authors are peers! you think they want an audience when they actually want friends! the relationship to fanwork is fundamentally different!

I want to look at art and leave comments here, but I’m so upset about how people are treating writers that I can’t focus on it. I’m sorry.

For the records of those saying fic authors have sticks up their butts about not wanting to be on public Google drives that most were not asked about in the first place (not downloads for personal use), I’ve already seen at least 5 authors pop up and say they’re deleting when the archive is back up.

I think people who say you should write fanfiction for yourself, don't understand that writing something and sharing it online are two different things.
You can write for your own enjoyment and then just keep it yourself. If you want someone to share, you have to let them know or they stop sharing.
