It's been fun having Studio Series 86 Prime on my desk (put him back on the desk after our trip to Ireland & the UK andafter Peter Cullen passed), but I'm really tempted to buy the MPG optimus as my desk-bot optimus.

While I really like Alter Bridge & what they've done over the years, I have no doubt that if they'd lead with songs like this as singles off each album to date (with some exceptions), while still keeping everything else on the albums as is, they would be so much bigger

I keep tabs on the Capitals mid actively since moving back to the DC area (they’re still my secondary team though) but it’s been an honor to watch Ovi play against my main team and for the Capitals. I hope he has a great final season.

The Olympia “fight” on Leda’s path in Fortune’s Weave is just annoying. I know now it’s basically othello/reversi, but still.

The movie Linkin Park did about the band’s return amidst the ongoing grief of Chester Bennington’s suicide their worlds shattering, and their rebuilding—along the way finding Collin and Emily—leading into their return in 2024 is incredible & a must see if it gets a mass release.

Posting this photo again, separate from my purchases thread because I love the assist from apples Clean-up feature to remove my hand entirely from the picture.

Started messing with Fansproject Assaulter (released in 2012/2013), a mini-grail of mine as I didnt' get him then for various reasons, & while i'm sure I have something mistransformed in Jet mode & the hip joints worry me, I took the dopest photo of it w/ an assist from Apple's "Clean up" tool.

Give me the Guzzle and Alpha BRavo (they'll be stand-alone bots in my collection, I'm not too fussed with the Nexus Prime stuff beyond getting him) yesterday.
Really like the BugBite at the 2nd link too.

@1440daily.bsky.social you guys are great, but could we not routinely get ad-reads like these?
If they help pay your bills, great. But independent news like you all doesn’t need to get on trends like this. Or routinely promote all the collagen stuff and gut stuff that you do either

I like Trevor May's youtube content on his channels a lot. But, publishing a "how to make the perfect postseason bracket" video literally during game 1 of the first NL wild card series on day 1 on the playoffs is a bad choice. Literally release it on the off-day

Lovullo would be a solid get. Vogt would be amazing but is a a definite pipe dream. Rocco Baldelli, Chris Woodward and Brandon Hyde are all very interesting options

Love that Yelp allows reviews that aren’t even of the place and just a rambling vent about a bad experience with the company that runs the building (and pearl street warehouse among others), which seems like an unfortunate fluke, to just exist on the venue’s page

(1/2) I'm gonna be completely honest, I've fallen off listening to Dragonforce in recent years, despite thinking Herman and Sam are badasses, that Marc is a great vocalist, etc. That said, this new song with Alissa White-Gluz and Marc's vocal coach absolutely slaps.

Despite being a baseball fan, I will never understand the affinity for anything on the Foul Territory network beyond everything Trevor May is doing. It just consistently feels like the more rambling, less polished little brother of every major sports network. The one difference being the ex-players

If this rumored Toei streaming service for Tokusatsu is true, I might finally get around to watching shows I dropped.
tokushotsu on YouTube is streaming Geats, Ryuki and 01 on rotation and while I’m still trying to vibe with Ryuki, I loved Geats (minus some flaws) & I’m actually getting into 01.

Legitimately considering getting a relatively reasonably priced Fansproject Warbot Assaulter, their analogue to Broadside from 2012 off eBay.
For whatever reason reason I’ve just always wanted that figure.
Loved my Warbot Steelcore & the springer from the same range (they’re in storage)

As much as I dont. want to see CJ moved and think he could be a really good core piece at 2nd, sign my right up for using him to get Kirby or Evans from Seattle (have to imagine miller, woo and Gilbert are relatively untouchable ).

This is fascinating to me because DTSS has been booming, but work needs done on Bonifant street in particular. the buisnesses still need help and there needs to be something done about the vacant store-fronts thereon and the reports of harassment on that street.

What downtowns can learn from Silver Spring about growth, diversity and reinvention
Since 2000, the downtown’s residential population has grown from about 7,000 people to more than 15,000 in 2024.
