National security shouldn't be a partisan briefing. If Congress is being briefed on defense priorities, both parties deserve a seat at the table. I'm also concerned anytime we normalize expanding the military's role here at home. Defense deserves oversight—not politics. 🇺🇸

Personally, I think they're keeping McConnell in office to avoid giving Kentucky's Democratic governor the chance to appoint a Democrat, which would narrow the Republicans' Senate majority.
The Constitution already gives us a way to make big changes. If we believe something needs to be different, let's have the debate, build consensus, and amend it the way our founders intended. Democracy works best when we follow the process.

Congress controls the power of the purse. If presidents can redirect taxpayer money to pet projects whenever they want, our system of checks and balances means nothing. Congress needs to do its job, defend its constitutional authority, and protect our tax dollars.

Respect isn't owed because someone holds an office—it's earned by honoring the Constitution, treating people with dignity, and leading by example. If you demand respect while insulting others and disregarding democratic norms, don't be surprised when respect isn't freely given.
