I am absolutely sickened that so many are imprisoned for being poor, the wrong colour, for crossing a border, getting high, being mentally ill, addicted, neglected or illiterate. Should we not measure how successful a society and justice system is by how few are in #prison rather than by how many?

#Reform's #Jenrick has now vigorously defended Richard Desmond, Cummings, #Johnson, #Truss and now #Farage, yet still asks people to trust his judgement. I would't trust the man to run a rural post office, let alone the UK. Why are they that most seek power always those most unsuitable to wield it

If #Burnham wants to be a fully empowered Prime Minister, he first needs to win a Labour Party leadership election and then call a general election to be democratically endorsed by the country. I hope he does this and has rejoining the EU (on broadly similar terms) as part of his manifesto.

With all the talk in the UK of Sikhs carrying ceremonial blades, statistics show roughly half of stabbings are from kitchen knives. Surely then it's time we ban kitchens, not only are they all chock full of knives but are also the source of food poisoning and cause of the majority of house fires.

I keep hearing that Trump's approval rating has dropped to a staggering low of 37% or that only 64% of Americans support the illegal Iran war.
I get the hundreds of multi millionaires, but I am absolutely freaked out that millions of ordinary people can support the hate, incompetence and corruption

Like everybody on the outside, I have no idea whether this attack on Trump was genuine or staged, nor the previous two. I am not a conspiracy type, so I find it astonishing that I can so openly speculate that an attempt on the President's life could be a false flag event.

Why is it that those who cry 'patriotism', are so often the self-same as those that avoid and rail against tax. If you love your country be proud to pay for it. It reminds me of all the vehement pro-lifers that also advocate for the death penalty so loudly.

The Chinese cultural genocide of #Tibet in 1959 sparked an exodus of refugees including the Dalai Lama. With all the negative talk of immigrants, it was wonderful to witness the Tibetan exile community in Junbesi, Nepal and the respect the Nepalese pay to them

I have been up in the hills and mountains and it dawned on me how less stressful it is when you have no cell service and access to news. Particularly when I did reconnect, my first feeling was one of anxiety

That Republicans have not invoked the 25th to remove #Trump show that they are traitors to the country they claim to love. It seems the only hope for justice lies with Venezuelan Special Forces seizing him from Florida and trying him in Caracas for kidnap, false imprisonment and murdering fishermen
