“Son, what have I told you about books?”

“That if I want read them, you’ll by them?”

“Yep.”

“…but are bookstores open on Sundays?”

“Yes. They are not churches. They are open most all of the time, not just on certain days”

Took my 13 year-old to his first-ever concert the other night. He’s been getting into Nine Inch Nails lately, so I surprised him with tickets. Mind officially blown, and a proper precedent has been set

My best friend in the universe passed away last week

I’m really sad, and I don’t post on here hardly at all, and don’t expect anything. I’m just telling the void about my best friend, and how cool he was, and how wonderful it was to have a friend become a brother over 20 years of time

I miss him

If you watch the first Jurassic Park film, and then skip all of the sequel flix until the latest one (the 7th one if we’re counting), it’s almost an acceptable direct sequel: Original shit goes down, then jump 35 years to see the beginning consequences

Also, alcohol helps a lot.
A lot, a lot

As I’ve said, if any good can come of all this, it’s that the CEO class is finally flying too close to the sun with their frothing masks-off public eagerness to eliminate everyone who has actually made their products. And when they come back begging for talent, the talent has organized against them.
"The problem with AI isn't that it can do your job. It can't. The problem with AI is that your MBA-brained boss's boss doesn't know how your job works and thinks AI can do your job at fractions of a penny on the dollar, and hears the siren song of 'maximize shareholder value'."

MBA-brain is real.
They’re literally advertising it.

Very exciting news: The Onion has started a creative agency.

We've been doing this quietly for months, so if you've seen a funny ad somewhere, it may be us. But now it is a whole-ass company.

Anyway, we have killed Don Draper for a second time and revived his drunk ghost. Contact me to access him.
Exclusive: The Onion has opened a creative agency
