So strange that wealthy Brits who left because they didn’t want to pay taxes in the UK to fund services we depend on would gift money from offshore to a party that will cut their taxes (& same said services) so they can come back home.

Funny how so many “patriots” giving money to the “patriotic” party don’t seem to live in the country they have so much “patriotism” about…

Net migration is at its lowest level, outside of the pandemic, for fourteen years, small boat numbers are collapsing and yet you still can't move for 'migrant crisis' stories in the British media

“Meanwhile… the potholes remain stubbornly resistant to culture war rhetoric. The buses have similarly failed to respond to Nigel Farage. And utility companies, disappointingly, do not appear to coordinate their roadworks any better because somebody changed the flag outside county hall.”

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

The next PM could - and in my view should - properly stick it to Trump (as Meloni has just done); announce a plan to undo Brexit; put immigration to bed for at least one electoral cycle; take their government off Twitter; unequivocally condemn Netanyahu & resurrect Leveson 2…

A boy can dream.

Memo to pretty much (but obviously not quite) everybody in the media…
Reform have now lost six by-elections in a row in England, Scotland and Wales.

Their national poll rating is 26% – below Labour in 1983 – and Farage’s approval rating is -37.

They’re very far from the voice of the people and need to stop being treated as such.

The "hydration break" really is a perfect American capitalist innovation: a nakedly commercial play to insert more ad revenue into a game that doesn't have ads anywhere else in the world, all under the guise of some humanitarian interest in the players' wellbeing.

Today I ‘interviewed’ Facebook whistleblower on stage at Hay…& she couldn’t say a word.

Facebook took legal action to prevent her speaking. What pathetic, pointless vindictiveness.

Least of issues I know but this "veteran" campaign strategy really winds me up.

Kenyon isn't a veteran and was never mobilised. He was in the British Army Reserve.

People like my father meanwhile fought in actual wars - and though my dad also served as a councillor he'd never ever mention it.
