Meanwhile, welcome to an El Niño event that has now smashed the ocean temps to 3.0 degrees above normal…

The Observer announced another share issue today for an additional £10m funding as print circulation drops from 114k to 90k. It’s notable that in the same time period I have built a circulation of 124k for my personal Substack..having set it up amid fears I would lose my job (as I in fact did).

Today I supported the Assisted Dying Bill because I want those in the final few months of life to have the agency to shorten their suffering if they wish

Last year I supported many positive amendments to ensure this bill had robust safeguards. I am disappointed it did not pass🧵

Robots out of control is not a new idea. Asimov came up with three laws of robotics in a short story RUNAROUND in 1942. (See thread).

What is new is that we’ve now reached the point where these Laws needs to be enforced by global regulation.

UK National Debt of 2.98Tn is lower than the French (3.03Tn)
Yet we pay a whopping ~80% higher interest rate?

We are the smoker with lung cancer, who will not give up smoking that Brexit crack.
We do nothing to help ourselves.

The world sees. And charges a premium.

When will you finally take action and ban the fascist X-platform in the entire EU?

What are you afraid of? Do you fear the fascist in the White House?

He has already abandoned Europe and will not defend it if one of you is attacked!

El Salvadore Prisons
Unlike Farage, I visited an El Salvador prison when I was an MEP

Conditions were medieval, with very little in the way of sanitation and massively overcrowded cells

The women we visited were in gaol for having miscarriages, misreported as abortions

This is their standard of criminal justice

Oof….. Read this and understand that immigration is hard, and realise that the Poles STILL treat the Brits better than the Brits treat its own immigrants. They aren’t threatening to deport us to Rwanda for example.
I am seeing more and more posts in places like Reddit from British people wanting to move to Poland and struggling to get a job. Oh, how the tables have turned. But I didn't want to talk about it but about why I don't predict many of them to be too succesfull. Why?

Here is a thread for you:
