N.Haven this morning 65 Shag (14 juv) in, 21 Pied Wag, 6 Sandwich Tern, 1 Turnstone, 1 C. Scoter out around 7.35. Plus Merlin chased by 2 Crows from Studland into the bay over the houseboats and out into the harbour. Always distant but size and flight would suggest Merlin. @harbourbirds.bsky.social

🌿Studland Bay in Dorset, home to spiny & short-snouted seahorses, saw a record number last year when a drop in visiting boats allowed the seagrass to recover. But now extreme weather threatens this precious habitat, along with the seahorses that rely on it.
