I wrote down my whole setup in one place: how I work, from a bare laptop to a shipped binary. Most of it is tools I built and run in the open, tied together into one way of working.

Meg touched me (she used me as a handrail) at this show where they played Jolene and it is burned into my brain forever. I had never heard it before and was completely blown away. What a tribute to a saint.
Jack White in London tonight. Hell yeah.

Have been working on this one for a bit and it's been working very well for me.

I just published cdk-github-microvm-runners. It's a CDK construct that runs GitHub Actions jobs on AWS Lambda MicroVMs: one ephemeral single-use VM per job, in your own AWS account.

I feel like I keep changing systems every few months now. It's always for a good reason. One of my favorite parts of what I've developed is that it's easy to switch. Load it up in my dotfiles and pull it down to other machines and I'm ready to go.
A tmux Workspace Built Around the Claude Code Autopilot
I built much of my now-playing project with a Claude Code autopilot. I describe a feature, and it gets planned, implemented, reviewed, and shipped without me typing the intermediate steps. To do the i...

Finally ready! This has been something I've been working on for a few weeks now and I'm finally ready to release. Not perfect yet, but looking very good IMO.

Building an audio/song detection system and testing it with Donuts was certainly a choice.

One of my favorite podcasters turned (again?) author. Recently listened to “Who We Are and How We Got Here” and very excited to learn more about this. It’s amazing to me that we’re getting better at something like archeology. And much better!
My new book, Lost Worlds, is out today! It tells a new story about how humanity went from hunting and gathering to the cusp of "civilization" that incorporates all of the stunning new archaeological work of the past couple of decades. I'm really proud of it! www.harpercollins.com/products/los...

Models are so weird.
This is an actual line that was added to the official system prompt for Codex for GPT-5.5 by OpenAI. Usually the system prompt is as minimal as possible, so I assume it would otherwise mention goblins a lot.

AIs are weird.

I love when a throwaway line from Claude turns in to an experiment that is both surprising and confirms my suspicions.

I have a few interns I'm working with and wanted to plan out a sprint but Claude kept rushing me through the process because we had a deadline.
Claude Code in a Crunch
I've been working with Claude Code long enough that the laughably bad time estimates have become background noise. Claude thinks a 90-second task takes 30 minutes. I ask it to plan a sprint that I kno...

My grandparents took us to European Vacation in the theater because my grandpa wanted to watch it and my parents were out for the night. So we went. When I was seven.

This has been a big upgrade for me. I love the adversarial aspect of coding with Claude and reviewing with Gemini/Codex, but the process was cumbersome. I've moved it all to GitHub actions now and all of those headaches go away.
Moving the Reviewer to GitHub
Things move fast. I recently wrote about using the adversarial models with my feature-workflow plugin a few weeks ago — ripping out the internal self-review skill and replacing it with external review...

This has been a fun little project I've been working on.

spirelink.gg

If you play #SlaytheSpire2 take a look at this. It will track your runs and allow you to create shareable links.

I am so bad at this game. But it's a ton of fun.

Added Spotify support!

I’m pretty impressed with the quality of playlists it is making as well. This wasn’t perfect but it did introduce me to some new songs. Which is what I was looking for.
