I know I've shared this illustration for #SundayFishSketch a few times now, but I'm sharing it again because it was accepted into the Minnesota State Fair fine arts building and is currently on display. So, if you're headed to the fair check it and the other amazing art out!

This #SundayFishSketch is a little different. Last summer I illustrated a children's book about fish and fly fishing, and it was just published a few days ago! Now I'll be able to share the illustrations that I've had to keep hidden for so long 😄🐡

Bees 🐝
This art features 100 bees of various colors and shapes. These bees are designed in a cartoonish style, based on real species. The common name or species is written below the animals. Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

I finally finished my Opah for today's #SundayFishSketch 🐡
An illustration of an Opah (a type of fish). This fish is disc-shaped, with a very deep, silvery body. There are white spots covering the body, and the eye is large. The mouth, and all fins are a bright red-orange.

It's been a while, but I sketched out an Opah for today's #SundayFishSketch 🐡
A line sketch of an Opah fish. This fish is disc-shaped, with a deep body. The eye is large and round, and the mouth is almost beak-like in shape. The pectoral and pelvic fins are long. The tail is forked.
